The video was filmed on site at the Za’atari Refugee Camp and Wadi Rum in Jordan as well as in the Skagit Valley of Washington State, USA.  Most of the youth, participants and locations featured in the video were apart of a greater on-going program created by Voices of the Children which provides free arts classes and cross cultural collaborations between Syrian and American teens. This organization's powerful work can be seen here: http://www.votchildren.org Luc and the Lovingtons, who travelled to the Za'atari Refugee Camp as teaching artists for Voices of the Children, provided art and song writing courses to Syrian youth. The band also has an ongoing humanitarian tour called The Goodness Tour: Music and Art for People Facing Adversity. Horseback riding and backpack camping for the first time! Island Girl and Country Boy is a homegrown channel by two lovebirds who come from different parts of the world. One from the Bahamas and one from the mountains of Washington State USA. This is their experiences adjusting to their different cultures with a smile and an adventurous spirit. Currently, Island Girl is having the time of her life in Country Boy's hometown in the mountains while living in a cabin during the Pandemic and doing some things she has never done! After Hurricane Katrina, musician Luc Reynaud was moved to travel to New Orleans to help and discovered first-hand the power of music to open people up to healing. This led him to create a music project with child evacuees called "Freedom Song" which then grew wings when covered by Jason Mraz and it became and anthem in Ghana and reached freed boy slaves. Social worker, teaching artist, musician and a lover of the earth, Luc was born and raised in a small mountain town in eastern Washington where he grew up humming in the background to the elegant voices of his father and eldest sister. Two years into his film direction studies at college, Luc took to hitchhiking across the western United States and along the way discovered his true passion: music. Since then he’s dedicated his life to music and social service. Luc is driven by the fundamental belief that we all have endless capabilities as long as we do not limit or judge ourselves.
